Salvador Servia and Jordi Sabater won Costa Brava the year before in VW Golf GTi.

1988, no luck. He was troubled by engine problems.

But this one is my bad, I got it all wrong.
It is put in a more flaring body of Integrale. Too noticeable even with air ducts and all to mask it appearance.

 1,2, 3, I lost count. I really never seen any rally car with this many camels on it. 4 on the rear wing and on the front bumper alone, it is 12.

 

Too bad, Toni did not manage to finish the rally.

Not sure how this Italian A.R.T Engineering car ended up in Toni’s hands.

A.R.T Engineering was built by Alessandrini brothers,  Paolo and Alessandro to race-prepare mainly Lancia back in 1988.

Impreza L613KWL was driven by Pierre Cesar Baroni in Motornet livery 1995 Rallye Monte Carlo.

Michele De Luca had his moment in Ciocco Rallye 1996

Massimo Ercolani drove it to glory in 1996 San Marino Rally.

In 1997 apart from this appearance  in El Corte Ingles, this car was seen  in San Marino Rally again but this time in the hands of Andrea Navarra.

In 1998 it went completely under the radar and was reported to be plying trade on Italian soil only.

FORD ESCORT RS COSWORTH 7UP CAMEL 1993 EL CORTE INGLES JOSE MARI PONCE

 

LPU 772, one of the earliest RS Cosworth that has been prepared by Belgian RAS Sports.

Intriguing livery which has been a perfect fit on Escort, as good as, if not better than those been conceptualized on M3 before. 

The race was won by Gustavo Trelles in Charro Delta HF Integral though.

Reconstructed from IXO with decal from Spain, where else it could possibly be.

LANCIA STRATOS CAMEL 1978 RALLYE SAN REMO VUDAFIERI / MANNINI

 This is my initial projection of what needs to be done on the IXO's  Chardonet of Darniche. People these days use 3D platform to conceptualize the idea, but me still in 2D, aka Dream and Draw.

To make it something more special like this one

Nothing much, just dismantle to whole body parts, strip it down to bare metal, repaint and reassemble. That's sound like everything but the only additional parts are front mud flap. Believe it or not, I normally use old credit card or auto teller card as it is plastic and rigid but easy to bend into shape and more importantly, easy to cut precisely even with NT cutter.

 So here it is. Actual body color is white but made to look vintage under yellow spotlight

This particular car practically spurs me to get my hands on model making. Used to get the same exact decal and put it on a Burago. I was shocked that a friend made an offer to keep it. Now what we have here, great same livery on an IXO with proper Cromodoro wheels.

I believe Bertone managed to get on podium in this particular year, after having won it all out before

I got its decals for quite sometime, but don't have the model sold cheap enough. Racing 43 kit was selling more than GBP50. My patience pays off when IXO start producing Chatroit's Portugal model. So here we are, after complete repainting, real stunning model
