LANCIA DELTA HF 4WD CAMEL 1988 CATALUNYA COSTA BRAVA SERVIA SABATER

Salvador Servia and Jordi Sabater won Costa Brava the year before in VW Golf GTi.

1988, no luck. He was troubled by engine problems.

But this one is my bad, I got it all wrong.
It is put in a more flaring body of Integrale. Too noticeable even with air ducts and all to mask it appearance.

RENAULT R25 DAMON HILL AT WHITEHALL, LONDON

Renault R25 as driven by Damon Hill
Date: 18th. July, 2006
Place: Whitehall, London

10 years after being crowned the World Champion, Damon Hill got the privilege to drive another championship winning car, Renault R25.

A demo drive to kick start the 2006 British Motor Show

The then PM was there too

My model uses Fernando's car as a donor. I remove his figurine out of the car, repaint the race suit flat white and repaint the helmet black and that basically is the main task. And Fernando's name on the head rest is deleted before the figurine is slotted back in.

FORD ESCORT RS COSWORTH BASTOS SNIJERS COLEBUNDERS 1996 RALLY MADEIRA

37th Rali Vinho da Madeira, the Round 30 of the 1996 FIA European Rally Championship.
Rated with Coefficient 20.

The winner was the local favorite, Fernando Peres / Ricardo Caldeira in Ford Escort RS Cosworth
 Totta.

Patrick Snijers and Colebunders in Bastos Ford Rally team were fourth, 51 seconds behind.

I really had a hardtime to fix the decal nicely to that curvy rear bumper.

RENAULT MEGANE MAXI 1999 BASTOS PRINCEN

This is really a blank car without any rally plate.

I guess we can call it a presentation version.

He ended up as Belgium Rally Champions in 1999.

It run with Renault in place of Bastos marking in tobacco-free rallies like Wallonie, Ypres and Condroz.

He won Rally Luxemborg, 25th,. April, 1999

Finished 16th. In Rallye Acropolis

Forced to retire in San Remo.

MITSUBISHI CARISMA GT EVO IV RALLIART WINFIELD 1997 RALLY AUSTRALIA BURNS / REID

In 1997, Richard Burns started to stamp his mark in WRC.

He almost got it all in RAC before puncture.

He was second in Safari Rally.

And in Australia, for the first time in his illustrious career, he led a rally.

At the end, he was fourth, about 36 second away from 2nd. place Makinnen.

This Carisma GT still confuses me until today, as it looks exactly the same as Evo IV’s Makkinen.

TOYOTA CELICA ST205 MARLBORO 1996 32nd 24HRS YPRES FREDDY LOIX

Fast Freddy starts dominating Ypres in 1996 with this car.

I think until now, he has won a record of seven times in Ypres.

That year, almost all the top 5 cars were ‘smoking’ fast.

The winner, Freddy Loix / Sven Smeets, Toyota Team Belgium

2nd Armin Schwarz / Denis Giraudet ,Toyota Castrol Team

3rd  Patrick Snijers  /Dany Colebunders,  Bastos Ford Rally Team

4th Renaud Verreydt / Jean-Manuel Jamar, Toyota Team Belgium

5th Bernard Munster / Jean-François Elst, Renault Belga Team

PEUGEOT 205 T16 BELGA DARNICHE / MAHE 1985 YPRES RALLY

Done this car before and do it again this time.

This old Vittese has driver and co-pilot figures in it.

For a while it looks more like a slot car

1991 JORDAN 191 MICHAEL SCHUMACHER

The figurine to go with Onyx Jordan 191

Jordan 7-Up team was in a crisis right before 1991 Belgian GP.
Gachot was sentenced to prison and car # 32 required immediate replacement.

Eddie Jordan was weighing on proven racers, the like of Keke Rosberg and Stefan Johansson.

Willie Weber convinced everybody that Michael Schumacher was more than willing and able.
Johnny on the spot, he was drive-tested in Silverstone and left everybody more than convinced.

Typical Onyx, hard to dismantle as underside is riveted
He was also literally right on the money, Mercedes, Dekra and Tic Tac were there to fork out the race seat fee.

Rear wing re-painted, original seated figurine removed
On the track he never drove before, he surprised even himself to qualify 8th behind all the big names, Senna, Patrese, Prost, Mansell, Berger, Alesi and Piquet.(Later promoted to 7th after Patrese was relegated for hand brake infringement)

How it all started. Stripped bare Minichamps figurine
His maiden F1 race was a short one as did not last a full lap but certainly left a lasting impression in F1 fraternities.

Next task, the car itself. Been saying this for the past two years
