SUBARU IMPREZA STOMIL OLSZYN 1997 RALLY POLAND HOLOCWYC POLSKI





In 1997, Krzysztof Holowczyc  and his long time co-pilot Maciej Wislawski won  1997 European Championship title.


The break out year that everyone in rally fraternity realized he got what it takes to get to the next level, WRC.



He took it all in Albena, Elpa Halkidikis and Cyprus.
He was on podium in Deutchland and Poland.


Equally fast, but unlucky to some extents, in El Corte Ingles and Piancavallo.


This is 1997 Rajd Polski version where he finished 3rd.

Fought tooth and nail with his fellow compatriot Janusz Kulig.


The rally went to Snijers in Escort WRC Bastos.

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER'S OTHER NOTABLE RIDES #2

FERRARI 412 T2 FIRST TEST ESTORIL 1995
Date: 8th. November, 1995
Place: Estoril Circuit, Portugal


Michael's first ride in Ferrari

 


Really I didn’t wait too long to get this piece completed.


Not much different from Alesi version at one glance.
However, so much tedious works needed to get where we are now.

 
 
Schumacher helmet replaces Alesi’s.
Car number has been removed.
Marlboro markings are added.

 
Small humps are added on the nose and to the side of air intake.

 
Front antenna is relocated, while longer side antenna is created.











So very hard to finish off this work, with all the distractions in Circuit de Catalunya and at the Etihad.
Pastor Maldonado literally set Williams on fire. Then, Kun Aguero made half of Manchester blue, while the other half seeing red. Unbelievable.

1995 FERRARI 412 T2 JEAN ALESI




Alesi had his only GP win in this car.


Right on his 31st. birthday, after so many misses and misfortunes, he finally nailed in 1995 Canadian GP.


Alesi started his F1 career in 1989 with a bang.


In his debut race with Tyrrell, he just missed a podium after starting 16th on the grid.


A year later, he was even closer to the checkered flag. In Phoenix, he led the race at one point, went wheels to wheels with Senna before conceding the race to him at the end. In Monte Carlo, again Senna got the best of him again.


Let's keep Alesi glory last over here.
I plan to covert this car into Schumacher’s first Ferrari ride, the test drive in Estoril on 8th. of November 1995

FIAT COUPE TURBO NORDAUTO STUDIO ADESIWE BUTTIERO 1995 CIVT




Stefano Buttiero went on to win Group N3.


From a police car to a curious racer.
From outside, it doesn’t differ much from a street car. 


Not sure if rear wiper is there on the race car.


Those Crommodora wheels make the police car quickly forgotten.
 And decals and wheels end up more costly than the car itself.

OPEL CALIBRA 4X4 V6 1995 DTM


Not much to write, so here we are :)



In the 90’s, Calibra epitomized a revolution in General Motor’s way of designing. In a rather short period of time, Opel Design Director, Wayne Cherry lined up in quick succession, many great Opels,  Junior, Corsa, Omega, Vectra and Astra.


Based on Vectra platform, Calibra was the sexiest, the most aerodynamically inclined, mass produced car at that time


All wheels drive, coupled with naturally aspirated 2.5 liter V6 Cosworth tuned engine, Calibra began to enter DTM in the late 1993. Calibra finally put it all together when Manuel Reuter won the DTM/ITC in 1996.


This is 1995 DTM version, Minichamps based, with almost all decals removed, letting that Opel yellow taking all the space.
