PEUGEOT 206 WRC01 JAN III SOBIESKI HOLOWCZYC 2001 POLISH RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

The car was unveiled at Arco Club in downtown Warsaw on 7th. February, 2001. Holowczyc was paired with Maciej Wisławski at that time. One of the most awesome livery on any 206. Dominantly red with crimson slanting stripes. Patched with asymmetrical white that blended well with Jan III Sobiseski letterings.

Photo at that launching event. Slightly varied from entry car with 5/6 spoke wheels and blue Peugeot Polska decal on both sides of chin.
I really plan to work on this version of Sobieski soon after the Elmot decal arrives.

Soon after in Rajd Krawkowski, the navigator appeared to be Kurzeja

The model that I have had before. I just couldn't get the 11 spoke wheels at a decent price. Have to be contented with normal Peugeot WRC 12 spoke wheels

By the way, Jan III Sobieski is a traditional cigarette brand of Poland, made in the town of Augustow. My Polish friend once said that it pays tribute to Jan Sobieski, once the great Polish king.

Another Monzon's Fortuna. Finished second best to Puras' Xsara kit car in the ever thrilling 1999 El Corte Ingles Rally. Hard to find time these days as World Cup is coming up in half an hour, I have to go now.

PEUGEOT 206 WRC BASTOS RACING TEAM B. THIRY J.M. FORTIN 2003 BARUM RALLY

Really I can't never get enough of Bastos cars. Bastos makes the car look racy and fast, even it is stationary. This one is as raced by Bruno Thiry and Jean-Marc Fortin in the 2003 Barum Zlin Rally. The car is retired due to engine problem but not before putting a good fight to the eventual winner, Pech Jun and Petr Uhel

Manage the get the old beaten up Vitessse. Complete dismantling, repainting and here we are. That famous Peugeot 205 Belga as entered in 1985 Ypres Rally. Driven by B. Darniche. So lucky to have that crisp and sharp decal from Austria

Another Darniche's 205 I would love to have would be this one, which was entered in 1985 Tour De Corse

But for now, here we have Peugeot 306 Maxi "Benson & Hedges", which was raced by L. Raya and J. Negrin in 1998 El Corte Ingles Rally. Produced by SKID with rare factory finished tobacco decals.

Rare full body wood grain skin for a rally car. Even rarer with tobacco livery.
